Students of IB Spanish came together to celebrate (and question the nature of) the Día de la Hispanidad. Students listened to presentations, thoroughly engaged with the quiz, and ate a LOT of Spanish tortillas, croquetas and guacamole!
To participate in the event, students were asked to make a minimum donation of one euro in order to continue our support of Oscar, a young boy in a Guatemalan orphanage. Thanks to student donations towards the event, a total of 240 euros was raised, which brings our total fundraising amount within the Spanish Department to just over 800 euros.
Special congratulations to the winning teams: Argentina, Nicaragua, Panamá, Spain, Uruguay and Venezuela. Quiz winners took home some Spanish turrón. ¡Gracias a todos!
