The children in Reception have been following the story and activities based on the classic tale of “The Little Red Hen”, which has Collaboration as a focal theme of this story and promotes discussions about kindness and empathy, elements of compassion.
The children have engaged enthusiastically in role-play, enjoyed joining in the repeated refrains and anticipating key events, drawn pictures and made collages.

Dressing as bakers, complete with hats, and making bread has been a highlight of the week and all delighted in tasting along with some butter, honey and jam.
