Our Pre-Prep Curriculum creates the foundations for enjoying learning for life. Children begin developing the skills and attitudes to become capable and independent. Recognising the importance of these formative years, St. Julian’s has cultivated an environment where the youngest learners build strong academic foundations through the power of play-based learning, shaped by the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

We focus on how children learn, not just what they are learning. We encourage curiosity, collaboration and appropriate risk-taking. This all takes place in safe and stimulating learning environments where children feel happy and secure. The Pre-Prep areas on our grounds include wonderful outdoor spaces with wooden play equipment, a mud play corner, sand, water and mature trees.

Individualised learning

Our Foundation Curriculum is adapted to each child’s interests and developmental needs, focusing on seven key areas of learning: communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, physical development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world and expressive arts and design.
