SJS Y6 MD were joined by pupils from The International Sharing School Taguspark to participate in a singing workshop run by Ana Ester Neves, a Portuguese singer who has achieved national and international fame for her performances, primarily in opera but also in musical theatre.
The aim of the workshop was to develop vocal technique through a variety of games and exercises, with voice projection and expression being the main focus. The pirate theme was a great vehicle in which to experiment, and by the end of the session, the students sounded less like a band of unruly pirates and more like a disciplined regiment of sailors. Thank you to everyone involved for such an enthusiastic and positive approach to something new and a little bit different!
