Summer School 2009

Summer School

Come and join us for an exciting and memorable Summer School!

Our theme –“The Best Days of Our Lives” –is inspired by a song written by last year’s Summer School students. Within this theme we are incorporating all of our traditional summer camp activities such as sport, adventure, computing, dance, science, arts & crafts, music & drama and social and cultural activities. In addition to these there will be a production of large-scale artworks, theatre performance, video-making, visits to exhibitions, theatres and to local places of interest and, of course, the beach. The finale of Summer School will be marked by a grand celebratory award ceremony.

Summer School at St. Julian’s is organised under the professional guidance of our staff. We aim to encourage the intellectual, physical and emotional development of your child within a relaxed and friendly holiday atmosphere. The programme is delivered entirely in English although children with little or no knowledge of English are also invited to attend. This year we are adding a daily language workshop, tailored to individual needs, which aims to encourage and develop each child’s understanding and fluency in English.

St. Julian’s Summer School is open from 9:00am until 4:00pm for all children aged between 3 and 14. We welcome students from all schools as well as visitors from other countries and we cater, as we said above, for all levels of English from beginners to mother-tongue.

Following our popular Summer School tradition, we will again be holding an overnight camp with barbecue, disco and karaoke. Book early to ensure your place this year as places are limited (and unfortunately last year we had to turn many children away).

Further details of activities planned are inside this brochure.

We look forward to welcoming you to our 23rd consecutive year of Summer School!
