There are several groups per year following this course.
The syllabus follows the “Programa da Língua Portuguesa do Ensino Básico (2o e 3o Ciclos)”
Students sit the IGCSE First language examination and therefore will follow this particular syllabus.
Year 11 – Foundation to the IB
Students who do a foundation year before entering the IB follow a special program specifically designed to prepare them for the type of texts and tasks they will encounter in IB Language A the following year.

These courses are aimed at students who have studied Portuguese as a First Language and have sat the IGCSE First Language Exam in Year 11. They are also aimed at students who have completed the 11 Foundation Portuguese program, having come from the Portuguese System of Education.

The existence of a second set depends mainly on the numbers of students in need of an Elementary Course.
